How has working at Katz impacted your career?
Katz is my Career. I started working at Katz as a Sales Assistant in 2000 right out of college when I was 22 years old. In 2020 I will be here 20 years. I have been with Katz Direct the whole time and I am proud to be the “Jack of all Trades” DR person.
What advice would you give women entering the workforce now?
Having strong relationships with the people in your industry is important, especially with your clients and co-workers. It is the people that make a business strong.
Share a "fun fact" about yourself!
I have been called Aunt Jess for years by my cousins, but I only recently became a real Aunt when my brother had a baby boy in February.
Who or what is inspiring to you?
I grew up surrounded my strong women- my mother, my grandmother, and my aunts. Some are no longer with me, but I know they shaped me into who I am now. They taught me to work hard and fight for what I believe in. I am forever grateful for their love and guidance.
What attribute or skill has helped you the most in your career?
The ability to get knocked down, but get up again. I heard something recently that really stuck with me: You just need to keep moving because standing still will get you nowhere.
