Christine Travaglini is President of Katz Radio Group. Christine is responsible for driving overall business development and strategy for Katz Radio Group across all of our locations, as well as driving maximum results for broadcasters and their advertisers. Starting at Katz as a Sales Assistant in our Atlanta office, Christine quickly rose through the ranks, becoming President of Christal Radio, and then eventually to her current position. Named as one of the “Most Influential Women in Radio” since 2005, Katz is lucky to have such an incredible mentor and leader as Christine.”
How has working at Katz impacted your career?
Working at Katz has had a tremendous impact on my career. Our culture enabled me to believe there was no limit to the success that would come for our people and our company with hard work, passion, urgency and tenacity. I started in the company as an assistant and always had solid mentors & support every step in my career - and I continue to learn and be challenged - which is why I've spent my entire career at this company.
What advice would you give women entering the workforce now?
While so much has changed from when I joined Katz 30 years ago - this advice would still be the same - Make sure you love what you do, build relationships and trust - ADWYSYWD! Also make sure you enjoy spending time with the people in your company and have the courage to set goals for yourself.
Share a "fun fact" about yourself!
I learned how to knit last year - my goal is to make a scarf before the end of the year.
Who or what is inspiring to you?
My father - he is my hero - literally. He has saved lives and served our community as a volunteer fire fighter (and X-Chief). He raised 3 daughters and always encouraged us to do our best and be successful. For the past 10 years he has taken care of my mother. His dedication to our family is inspiring.
What attribute or skill has helped you the most in your career?
Resilience and patience. I guess that's 2!
