How has working at Katz impacted your career?

My entire career has been spent at Katz, starting as a Sales Assistant at Eastman Radio and working my way into my current role, Director of Digital Planning. At the time I started with the company, I had no clear vision of where I saw myself long term. Through various opportunities I was given I was able to advance my career in a way I never thought possible. I have grown into a position that I feel passionate about and has pushed me to grow both personally and professionally.

What advice would you give women entering the workforce now?

Take initiative and do not be afraid to ask for what you want. It is important to put yourself out there and take advantage of opportunities presented to you, while also looking for others that may not be as obvious.

Share a "fun fact" about yourself?

I do not go anywhere without listening to music. In 2018, I spent 116,156 minutes listening. That equates to 1,935 Hours or 80.6 days.  (*This was tracked for me, I did not do it myself!)

Who or what is inspiring to you?

I surround myself with strong, independent women from family to friends. Being around others who are always looking to grow, personally and professionally, has helped me ensure I do the same.

I also LOVE to travel. The idea of being able to provide for myself and to continue to explore new places keeps me going!

What attribute or skill has helped you the most in your career?

The ability to develop personal relationships, with both clients and coworkers.  Having a connection that goes deeper than the day to day work not only brings an element of fun to the job but it gives you greater opportunities to grow, learn and feel a sense of camaraderie when problems do arise!
