How has working at Katz impacted your career?
Working for Katz has giving me the opportunity to create a career that I couldn't even have imagined when I started out. I've had the chance to explore both sides of my brain and have been able to develop skills in business and management, while still flexing my (sometimes a bit flaky) creative muscles. The people at Katz have given me opportunities to explore new initiatives without fear of failure. Working at Katz has also shown me that while a "corporation" itself isn't human, the humans within a corporation can be unbelievably supportive beyond just day to day business. The people at Katz have had a huge impact on my personal life and have impacted my family in such positive and unexpected ways - ways that I can't begin to put into words. The people of Katz were there for me and my family at a time when it truly mattered, and I will never forget that.
What advice would you give women entering the workforce now?
You can be who you are and do what you love and still "make it" in the corporate world without sacrificing yourself. You just need to find the right fit. Always remember when you're interviewing that it's more important that YOU like the people and the job than it is for the job & the people to want you. Walk in knowing that you're interviewing them as much as they're interviewing you.
Share a "fun fact" about yourself!
People know that I'm an animal buff - I've got 2 cats & "partial custody" of 2 dogs. I'm involved with purebred dog issues with the AKC AND with mixed breed / pet rescue organizations. Most people don't know that I've also been involved with wildlife and other animal rescue orgs. In those capacities, I've been kissed by a Brahman bull, swam with a mother & baby duo of truly wild dolphins (not the tourist swim with the dolphins), rubbed the belly of a 6 week old lion cub and bottle fed a 2 month old Bengal tiger (this was my favorite).

What attribute or skill has helped you the most in your career?
I "do windows". I've made it a point since early on in my career to never say "not my job." When something isn't my job, I find out who's job it is or how to get it done myself. I've been able to continually expand my job description by being the person that people go to when they don't know who to go to - and I'm proud to be in that role.
