Laura Heinrich is a Vice President and Sales Manager for Katz TV Group in Chicago. She is a 25 year veteran at Katz who has held positions in our Cleveland, Detroit and Chicago Offices. She has been working with our Sinclair Broadcast Group partners for over 15 years and is a critical member of our leadership team. Laura brings a relentless work ethic and passion for success to our Chicago office every day.
How has working at Katz impacted your career?
Since starting with Katz back in 1995, I have worked in three different offices over the years, so I have been so incredibly fortunate to meet and work with an amazing assortment of people from all walks of life. So many of them have given me invaluable guidance throughout my career, whether they knew it or not.
What advice would you give women entering the workforce now?
Find joy in learning something new everyday. Whether it be about this industry or about your fellow employees, it will keep you grounded and help you grow.
Share a "fun fact" about yourself!
I can still bust out a pretty decent version of the Running Man during workout class! Oh and I was named for Laura Petrie from the Dick Van Dyke show. My mom was a huge fan.
Who or what is inspiring to you?
My son inspires me to be a better person everyday. I see him watching me and my actions and realize that I want to be his role model in the best way possible. The tough questions are beginning and I want him to understand right and wrong can be gray and how to navigate through that. I want him to see that people who have a strong work ethic and those who care about others will take him far.
What attribute or skill has helped you the most in your career?
I like to think I am pretty self aware. I really try to know my limitations and work to find ways to break them down or move in the direction where my talents would benefit the company and my team more.
