leeann pictureLeeann Piazzola is Vice Presiden/Director of Sales for Katz TV. LeeAnn joined the industry following in the footsteps of her father, Sam Tarricone, who sold locally for Fox5 in NY for many years.  She began her sales career at Katz, selling for 12 years in the Eagle Television Division, followed by stints at ABC Spots Sales and the NBC National Sales Organization.  LeeAnn returned to Katz Television in 2012 as V.P. Director of Sales, overseeing the national sales effort for many Hearst Television stations. LeeAnn has a real passion for our business, and is a true mentor to many at Katz. She also plays a big role in the future of Katz, as she helps to oversee the Katz Sales Training Program.

How has working at Katz impacted your career?

Working at Katz has given me the unique experience of working closely with amazing people from all over the country and traveling to markets that I would not have otherwise visited.

What advice would you give women entering the workforce now?

Set your sights high!  Give 150% to today and decide where you want to be tomorrow.  Get noticed by your willingness to work hard and learn. Be humble yet proud. Have fun, but never be the last person to leave the party!!!

Share a "fun fact" about yourself?

This is actually my second tour of duty at Katz.  I was hired in 1984 and spent 12 years selling on what was then the 'Eagle Team' in the 'American Division' of Katz. It has been a great experience returning to Katz in a new role at a different stage of my life.

Who or what is inspiring to you?

Of all the famous people that I admire, the two most inspiring people to me will always be my parents.  My dad introduced me to the business and my mom ran her own business for many years. My parents led by example, proving that it was possible to 'have it all'.  My parents were my best mentors, my most objective critics and my greatest cheerleaders, teaching me to work hard and always conduct myself with dignity and integrity.

What attribute or skill has helped you the most in your career?

Without question, being a parent has given me the ability to be more successful in business.   Raising 5 children has sharpened my time management and organizational skills and forced me to become an effective multitasker.  There was never shortage of opinions in our home, so I HAD to become more patient, diplomatic, and open-minded...skills that have helped me become a better manager and problem solver.
