Nicole Zittman Hart is VP, Director of Sales/Sales Manager for Katz Television Group. Nicole started on the agency side and then moved to the station side with Hearst an an NSM in Florida. She started with Katz in late 1999 and has been a fixture at Katz and the NY advertising community ever since.
How has working at Katz impacted your career?
I have been at Katz for almost 20 years (I cant believe it has been that long). Before joining Katz I was a NSM and also spent many years on the agency side. Having sat on all sides of the desk, I think working at Katz is the best place to be. We have such great people here!
What advice would you give women entering the workforce now?
That you can do and be anything you want to, so set the bar high! If you don't ask, you don't get. Listen and watch what is going on around you.
Share a "fun fact" about yourself!
I love to travel. In the last few years I have been to South Africa, Iceland, Hawaii and Costa Rica.
Who or what is inspiring to you?
My 11 year old son inspires me. I want to set a good example for him. When he was very young I would ask him how his day was, and I would get "fine". So I started to ask what did you do nice today? At first he would say I don't know... what did you do? I think about that as I go through my day so I have something that I am proud to share with him.
What attribute or skill has helped you the most in your career?
Being a good listener. I try to really hear what the person is saying/means and try to come up with a solution or at least be able to empathize with them.
