Nisha Lalchandani was recently promoted from Senior HR Coordinator to the role of Human Resources Manager for Katz Media Group. Nisha began her career with Katz as a Marketing Coordinator before leaving to earn her Master’s in Human Resources from Pace University. She then returned to Katz in 2015, taking on a Coordinator role within our Human Resources department. Nisha has excelled at managing projects and events for employee engagement and morale building and she’s grown the Katz Summer Internship Program to be a training ground for junior talent for our Company. Nisha is an advocate and great resource for our employees.
How has working at Katz impacted your career?
This is my second time around working at Katz. My first time, I worked as a Marketing Coordinator in a group called Katz Advantage, which is now KRG’s Activation Group. I left to switch fields to event planning and then went back to school to pursue my Masters in Human Resources. After completing my degree, I was fortunate enough to come back and work for Katz in a different role. Coming back here showed me that I truly appreciate what I have, what I have learned, and what I continue to learn on a daily basis, both personally and professionally.
What advice would you give women entering the workforce now?
Be yourself! It’s so important to show your true sense of who you are and what you are capable of doing. Also, do not rush to get to the top right away-good things take time. It’s important to master your current role in order to move forward and successfully.

I have dual citizenship-I was born in Canada and became a US citizen two years ago-it only took a few decades!
Who or what is inspiring to you?
My family-they have been my biggest support throughout both my personal and professional goals and I am forever grateful. I also ensure that I surround myself with positive people in my personal life-after all, you are the company you keep!
What attribute or skill has helped you the most in your career?
The ability to understand, be patient, and work with different types of people.
