Shaunagh Guinness is Senior Vice President of Stations Solutions for Katz Media Group in New York.  Throughout her 28 years at Katz, Shaunagh has brought energy and innovation to the research and sales teams at Katz.  She is both a meticulous researcher and exceptional leader, recently taking on oversight of teams in both the Radio and Television divisions.

How has working at Katz impacted your career?

My entire career has been here at Katz.   I started out as a research assistant at Christal Radio and throughout the years have been able to grow and advance in the organization.  For the past 4 years I have been working with an amazing team (Station Solutions) within Strategy, Analytics and Research group. Working at Katz has taught me how to take challenges and make them into opportunities.   Every day I learn something new about the company, the industry, technology and much more that has led to a satisfying career thus far.

What advice would you give women entering the workforce now?

First - I would say find a place of employment where you believe in the product or services of that company.   It will help motivate you day in and day out. Second - Excel at your current position but continue to learn & grow every day. There is always something more you could be doing to help yourself grow both personally and professionally. These are key ingredients for success.

Share a "fun fact" about yourself?

I am avid golfer and really enjoy meeting others players within my group. Interacting with 3 other people during a round can tell you a lot about their character.  Golfers are a special breed ... think about it we spend 4+ hours chasing after a little white ball for fun. We all strive to have that one game where all aspects of the game come together in one round - that is pure joy.

Who or what is inspiring to you?

When you work with a team that are talented, passionate, creative and excellent problem-solvers it inspires you to learn more and to do things better not only for yourself but for the entire group.

What attribute or skill has helped you the most in your career?

The ability to multi-task, adapt and grasp concepts quickly are skills that have helped me grow within the organization.   Plus the ability to keep on point when working with a group of individuals to get a project completed.
